About Me

Hi - my name is Michael Morrissey and I am a web programming student at NSCC set to graduate in the spring of 2022. Thanks for checking out my portfolio.

I have a background in business administration with a degree from Memorial University; before the pandemic, I spent several years remotely managing a small local travel company. I've always had a keen interest in technology, and in addition to managing the company's small team, I took on handling all facets of their information technology, integrating the organization's business needs with various pieces of software.

I spend my free time outdoors whenever possible, whether hiking, biking, paddling, or camping; in the winter, you'll often find me curling, reading a book, or playing board games and video games.

I'm excited to gain hands-on experience through a work term in software development, and then look forward to building a career in the industry. I believe that my combination of programming skills, business knowledge, and real-world management experience would make me a great asset to any team and I'd be happy to discuss these in further detail.
